About
Fourteen years of building, fixing and supporting websites
DEVIEC is a web development and ecommerce agency. We help organisations launch new websites, improve platforms that are underperforming, and solve the technical problems that other developers have walked away from.
- Senior technical attention on every project
- Platform-neutral recommendations
- Clear scope, exclusions and change process
- Work delivered for direct clients and agency partners
Who we are
A development practice, not a sales operation
DEVIEC is a web development and ecommerce agency built on fourteen years of hands-on delivery. We help businesses launch new websites, improve underperforming platforms and solve technical problems across WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Laravel, CodeIgniter, OpenCart and custom PHP.
Our approach is practical: understand the business goal, recommend the right platform, define the work clearly and build for performance, usability and long-term maintenance. From service-business websites and online stores to custom plugins, themes, portals and integrations, every project receives senior technical attention.
We work with organisations and agency partners worldwide, with particular experience across healthcare, trades, professional services, property, hospitality, travel and ecommerce.
How we work
Six principles that decide most of our decisions
These are not values on a wall. They are the reasons we say no to things, and they are testable against how a project actually runs.
-
Business result first
We ask what commercial outcome the project must produce before discussing technology. If a cheaper intervention would achieve it, we say so.
-
Platform-neutral
We are not a reseller and take no platform commissions, so the recommendation is based on your requirement rather than our margin.
-
Scope in writing
Deliverables, exclusions, responsibilities and the change process are agreed before work starts, so nothing important is discovered at the end.
-
Build to be inherited
Code written so another competent developer can pick it up. No obfuscation, no artificial dependency on us.
-
Accessible and fast by default
Keyboard operation, sensible contrast, sane page weight and usable layouts from 320 pixels up. Included, not an upgrade.
-
Honest about limits
When something is outside our experience, when a budget will not achieve the goal, or when the site should be replaced rather than repaired, we say it.
Experience
What fourteen years actually buys you
Not infallibility. What it buys is pattern recognition: the ability to look at a brief and see which parts will cause trouble in month three, and which apparently difficult requirements are actually straightforward.
It also means most of the mistakes have already been made — the migration that lost the order history, the plugin that seemed convenient and became load-bearing, the redesign launched without redirects. That experience is why our scoping stage asks questions that feel unnecessary until the moment one of them turns out to matter.
- Estimates that account for testing, revision and content delays
- Risks raised at scoping rather than discovered at delivery
- Platforms recommended from experience of maintaining them, not just building them
- Handover treated as part of the job rather than a formality
Who we work with
Four kinds of client
-
Service businesses
Where the website's job is to produce qualified enquiries and explain a service properly.
-
Ecommerce operators
Where trading reliability, fulfilment integration and checkout performance decide the revenue.
-
Established organisations
Where the requirement is a portal, integration or workflow system rather than a website.
-
Agencies and studios
Where we provide delivery capacity under someone else's brand.
Being straight about proof
What we have not published yet
Most agency websites open with client logos and results. Ours does not yet, for a simple reason: case studies require the permission of the clients involved, accurate description of our exact role, and results we can actually evidence. Those are being assembled properly rather than approximated.
So instead of unattributed screenshots and invented percentages, this site describes how we work, what we build and where our limits are. If you need sector-specific evidence before committing, ask — and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot share at this stage.
